Hillcrest Dog Park is an enclosed dog exercise field in Tockholes, Lancashire, close to Darwen and Blackburn. There are no unfamiliar dogs, crowded paths or pressure—just a private dog walking field for confidence, training and a good run.

Field rules
Please read before booking.
These rules protect every visitor, dog and neighbouring business. The person making the booking must be present and ensure everyone attending understands and follows them.
Important: Bookings are for 50 minutes. Please leave promptly at the end of your session. Overrunning may be charged as an additional time slot.
Arrival and parking
- Bookings are for 50 minutes only. Please leave promptly and do not overrun. If you do not leave on time, you may be charged for an additional time slot.
- Dogs must be kept on leads before entering and after leaving the field.
- Do not arrive early or enter until the previous hirer has fully vacated.
- On arrival, remain in your vehicle in the parking area until the previous hirer has left. It is your responsibility to ensure the gate is securely closed behind you.
- Please observe the 5 mph speed limit throughout the yard for the safety of dogs and visitors.
- Please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum.
- If using the dog-wash area, keep dogs on leads because it is located near the car park.
- You must clean up after your dog(s). Dispose of dog waste and litter in the bins provided. Do not leave filled waste bags in the field.
Use of the field
- Anyone who fails to clean up dog waste or leaves litter may be banned from future use.
- CCTV is in operation for the security of the field.
- Never leave dogs unattended in the field.
- Dogs must remain on leads whenever they are outside the field.
- Do not allow dogs to dig. Any holes must be filled in immediately.
- Leave the field in a clean and tidy condition.
- Place food packaging, bottles and other rubbish in the bins provided. Some visiting dogs have restricted diets.
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property.
- Children are welcome at the hirer’s own risk. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
- The field may only be used to exercise the hirer’s dogs and for no other purpose.
- Report damage, equipment issues or other concerns immediately by calling 07850 431930.
Dog health and welfare
- Owners are responsible for ensuring their dogs are appropriately vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatments.
- Dogs should wear an identification tag on their collar or harness.
- All dogs must be microchipped, as required by law.
- Seek veterinary advice before using the field if a dog has an underlying medical condition.
- Do not attend if a dog is unwell, including sickness or diarrhoea, or has been exposed to an infectious disease. Allow at least 24 hours after the last episode of sickness or diarrhoea.
- For kennel cough, do not attend for at least 10 days after contact with a coughing dog or after the dog’s last symptoms have disappeared.
- Hillcrest Dog Run cannot guarantee that dogs will not contract kennel cough or another infectious illness.
- Aversive training aids or methods must not be used on the property.
Liability and responsibility
- Use of the field and its equipment is entirely at the hirer’s own risk.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hillcrest Dog Run accepts no liability for injury, death, loss or property damage arising during use of the facilities.
- Hillcrest Dog Run is not responsible if a dog escapes from the field.
- Vehicles and belongings are left on the property entirely at the owner’s risk.
- Handlers are responsible for keeping themselves, their dogs and accompanying visitors safe at all times.
- The owner or person in charge remains responsible for any injury caused by or to their dog.
- The hirer may be charged for damage caused to the property, fencing or field equipment.
- Hillcrest Dog Run reserves the right to withdraw permission to use the field at its discretion.
- The person who made the booking must be present and must explain these rules to everyone accompanying them.
- This is a multi-business venue. Visitors must only access the dog field and must not enter other business or private areas.
Booking, cancellation and data
- A booking is only confirmed once registration and full payment have been completed.
- Cancelled bookings are non-refundable.
- Overrunning the allocated booking time may be charged as an additional time slot.
- Customer information is used to administer bookings and will not be disclosed to third parties except where required to provide the service, process payment or comply with law.
Booking declaration
By completing a booking, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood and agree to these rules and conditions.
- Your dog(s) are in good health and appropriately vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.
- You will remain in your vehicle until the previous hirer has vacated.
- You will leave on time and will not infringe on the next booking.
- You accept responsibility for yourself, your dog(s), your vehicle and anyone attending with you.
- You understand that Hillcrest Dog Run is not responsible if your dog escapes.
- You will leave the field as you found it and clean up after yourself and your dog(s).
Legal note: These terms are provided for operational use and should be reviewed by a UK solicitor and your insurer before launch, particularly the liability, cancellation and data-protection wording.
